Introduction[edit]

Hebrew text[edit]

English Translation[edit]

If she says: 'I am impure' - she writes a receipt for her Ketubah and goes out. And if she says: 'I am pure' - she goes up to the Eastern Gate that is opposite the opening of the Nikanor Gate, that there they drink the sotah, or purify the women who have given birth, or purify the people with Tzara'at.

And the Cohen grabs her clothes; if they tear, they tear, if they tatter, they tatter; Until her bosom is exposed, and he undoes her hair.

Rabbi Yehudah says: if her bosom is comely, they do not uncover it; if her hair is comely, they do not undo it.
