Browning, Robert (Barrett), M.A. by diploma 25 June, 1867, hon. fellow Balliol Coll. 1867, created D.C.L. 14 June, 1882, poet and author, assumed his wife's surname of Barrett, married (1846) the poetess Elizabeth Barrett, daughter of Edmund Moulton (afterwards Moulton-Barrett), of Burn Hall, co. Durham, where she was born 6 March, 1809, she died at Florence 30 June, 1861.
