Albert Payson Terhune
(1872–1942)
Albert Payson Terhune was a journalist, author, and dog fancier. He saw moderate success as an author of general fiction, but gained his greatest acclaim when he began writing books featuring fictionalized versions of his own rough collies. His mother was Mary Virginia Terhune (pseud. Maron Harland).
