| B. Jonson was born in South Carolina in 1948 and is a climber, explorer, writer and engineer. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America in 1963, flew his first solo flight in 1976 and was elected into The Explorers Club in 1988 for his accomplishments in exploration. |
