Thomas Frederick Cheeseman was an English-born botanist who moved to New Zealand in 1854. In 1874 he became the curator of the Auckland Museum.

Between 1871 and 1919 Cheeseman (co-)published 81 articles in the Transactions and Proceedings of the Royal Society of New Zealand.[1]
