An Indian author who lived some time in the Gupta period (4th to 6th centuries CE). He is known as the author of the Kama Sutra, and of the first commentary on Gotama's Nyāya Sutras.

Posthumous works may be copyrighted based on how long they have been published in certain countries and areas.
