Research[edit]

(moved from DNB contributors page)

Can find a solicitor (and Registrar of District BMD Wolverhampton) that may be Francis Sanders, (1831-1902). Though nothing stands out as knowledge for DNB. Parked -- billinghurst (talk) 11:58, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's a clergyman, likely to be the Rev Francis Sanders, MA who co-edited Cheshire Sheaf. Third series. Being local gleanings, historical and antiquarian, relating to Cheshire, Chester, and North Wales in 1898, and contributed "Wirral Worthies" to Wirral Notes and Queries, vol. ii. He seems to have been Curate of Eastham before becoming Vicar of Hoylake 1891-1912. The Transactions of the Historic Society of Lancashire and Cheshire, Vol. LXIV (1912) reported his death.
