If there comes here a dedicated student of Mansfield, let it be noted that having died in 1923, her works were in the public domain in New Zealand in 1996, meaning that those public domain in the US were not eligible to be restored to copyright by the URAA. Let it also be noted that many of her works published in 1923 and posthumously were in fact renewed in the US and under copyright then and now. If such a student does appear, interested in treading carefully, I will be willing to help tease out the fine details of the renewal records.--Prosfilaes (talk) 22:33, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
