Sources on the web state a birth year of 1865, though produce no evidence for that, so it may be assumed that there is a propagation of one date. From my research, it would seem that this date is incorrect, as there is an 1860 US census record^[1] that states age as 2., though later census records state ages that would have birth between 1858 and 1863 (through to 1910). It would be seen that the first census record would be quite accurate. — billinghurst sDrewth 05:30, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

To note that anecdotally he has been referred to as Peter Philip Bilhorn, this is not evident from any primary census data (1860, 1870, 1900, 1910).
