[edit] Walter Hepworth researches
No publications found for Author:Walter Hepworth, nothing evident through Google. Quick search finds three articles written, all B surnames and all about art. There is an artist of that name in 1881 census. Walter Hepworth, b.1852 in Leicester. Cannot find in later census to confirm details. Found in 1861 census, son of James and Susanna. Parked -- billinghurst (talk) 00:06, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- According to Fenwick's Contributor's Index, Hepworth was responsible for 9 articles, all B surnames: Henry John Boddington (1811-1865), Daniel Bond (1725-1803), Jacob Bonneau (d. 1786), Samuel Bough (1822-1878), Thomas William Bowler (d. 1869), Wiliam Bowness (1809-1867), Robert Bowyer (1758-1834), Edmund Bristow (1787-1876), and Beau Brummell (1778-1840).
- A Walter Hepworth, Commissioner of the Council of Education, Science and Art Department, South Kensington was apparently author of the Encyc. Brit. (9th ed. 1878 and some subsequent eds) article on fairies. Dsp13 (talk) 20:37, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- that would make sense as it is w:Science and Art Department. That said, I cannot find anything further for this person. Are we happy that we are with the right person? -- billinghurst (talk) 14:44, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
