Benghazi: Boehner Continues to Urge Secretary Clinton to Turn Over E-Mail Server

March 19, 2015

Speaker Boehner's Press Office

As the Benghazi Select Committee continues its pursuit of the facts, Speaker Boehner today reiterated the need for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to turn over her e-mail server. Here are Boehner’s full comments:

“On Benghazi, as I said on Tuesday, Secretary Clinton must hand over her e-mail server to an independent, third-party arbiter. In terms of who that could be, Chairman Gowdy has already discussed a few examples: a federal inspector general, a retired judge, and a professional archivist. All of these choices would be eminently fair and reasonable. We need the Secretary to do the right thing here so that we can get to the facts about what happened before, during, and after an attack on our people.”
