1Now it came to pass, after Alexand son of Philip, of Macedonia, who first reigned in Greece, who came out of the land of Kittim, had defeated Darius king of the Persian and also of the Medes:
2He fought a lot of battles, and took almost all the strong holds, and slew almost all the kings living on the earth
