1. Bletsod sīe se Ȝod and Fæder ūres Dryhtnes Iesus Crīstes, þe æfter His ȝrēatran miltse ƿearþ ūre Fæder eft tō lifiȝendum hopan þurh þā æriste Iesus Crīstes fram þǣm dēadum, 4. tō undfȳlendlīcum, unƿemmum, and unāscruncenlīcum ēðle, ȝehēalden on heofonum ēoƿ, 5. þā þurh þone cræft Ȝodes sind borȝene þurh ȝelēafan tō hǣlo þe biþ ȝearo tō ƿesenne īeƿed on þǣm endetīman. 6. For þȳ ȝē habbaþ clǣnod ēoƿra sāƿla on ēoƿerre ȝehīersumnesse þǣm sōðe þurh þone Ȝāst on trēoƿre brōðorsibbe, lufiaþ ǣlc ōðer fram þǣre heortan ȝeornl'kice: hæbbende ȝeƿorden eft ȝeboren, nā fram amyrrendlīcum sǣde, ac fram unamyrrendlīcum, þurh þæt ƿord Ȝodes, þætte lifaþ and abītt ā. 24. For, "Eall flǣsc is ȝelīc ȝærse, and eall menn þrym ȝelīc þǣm blōtsman þæs ȝærses. Þæt ȝærs fealeƿaþ, and his blōtsma fielþ; 25. ac þæs Dryhtnes ƿord abītt ā." Þis is þæt ƿord þæs Ȝodspelles þe ƿæs ēoƿ abodod.
