BOWLING TOURNEY THIS WEEK

Big International Event Begins To-day at Union Hill Schuetzen Park.

The international bowling tournament, in which votaries of the indoor pastime from all over the country are expected to take part, will begin to-day at Union Hill Shuetzen Park, Union Hill, N. J., and continue all week. The programme consists of contests of all descriptions at the pins, from the regulation ten frame game down to candle pins and cocked hat. In addition there will be shooting competitions, parades, vaudeville performances, fireworks, dancing, speechmaking and other attractions. Admiral Dewey, who is an honorary member of the United Bowling Clubs, has promised to attend.

A handsome book has been published by the committee in charge of the tournament showing the events that will take place each day. It gives a complete history of the game and contains pictures of the offices, prominent bowlers and presidents of clubs. Admiral Dewey's portrait occupies a place of honor.
