BROTHER, SISTER
(traditional)
Brother, sister hear the strange music
around you everywhere playing
Drums beating victories of regression,
thunderstorms of class struggles
From Africa, the equator
rolls the mouring of gory battlefields
From countries in the East and in Asia
you hear the neighing of the battle horses
In the frontline watch of civilization
where they boast of their culture
science is trying to develop
new ways to kill your fellow man
Cannons, bombs, battle gases
seed death and destruction
Fathers, sons from working class homes
battle fields claim as sacrifice
Why do people keep on killing each other
workman killing worker of another land?
Who collects the loot from all the murders
when the debts of blood are paid back?
War is fought for quarrels of opressing lords
for their interests the struggles go on
The war loot the lords collect
is paid with blood of sons of the working class
Working people, arise everywhere
against the cruel dangers of the war
It is time for humanity to win
put end to horrors of the war.
Horns of war are playing everywhere
people arise shouting against them
Oppression caused by the wars
shall fade away too.
