COLLEY, JOHN (fl. 1440), theological writer, was a member of the Carmelite convent at Doncaster. He is said to have been an elegant Latin writer and an eloquent preacher, and to have written the following works: 'De Passione Christi,' 'De Laudibus Apostolorum,' 'Sermones,' 'Epistolsæ ad Diversos.' It does not appear that any of these writings are known to exist.
