Executive Order 1106

It is hereby ordered, that the following-described portion of the military reservation of Fort Ruger, situate at Diamond Head, on the Island of Oahu, Territory of Hawaii—all public lands comprised in which reservation were temporarily withdrawn from sale, entry, or other disposition for military purposes by Executive Order of January 18, 1906 (G. O. 21, W. D., January 27, 1906)—be and the same are hereby transferred to the Government of said Territory for a reservoir site, viz:


Beginning at an iron pin at the north angle of Grant 3219 to Kahololio, said point being the southwest angle of Grant 3381 to J. Campbell, and running by true bearings as follows:

  1. —N. 64° 13′ E. 330.0 feet along Grant 3381 to J. Campbell;
  2. —N. 17° 30′ W. 150.0 feet along same;
  3. —N. 72° 30′ E. 251.2 feet;
  4. —S. 64° 25′ E. 358.8 feet;
  5. —S. 25° 35′ W. 200.0 feet to the north corner of Grant 4081 to S. B. Dole;
  6. —S. 53° 00′ W. 141.0 feet along Grant 4081 to S. B. Dole;
  7. —S. 82° 50′ W. 140.5 feet along same;
  8. —S. 35° 10′ W. 79.0 feet along same;
  9. —S. 66° 40′ W. 152.0 feet along same;
  10. —N. 55° 30′ W. 354.0 feet along Grant 3219 to Kahololio to the point of beginning.
    Area: 5.52 acres.


It is further ordered that the remainder of said reservation be continued in temporary reservation for military purposes until it can be determined by an actual survey what portion thereof will be required for a permanent military reservation—such temporary reservation to include all public lands, and those only, within metes and bounds described as follows:


Commencing at the southeast corner of this lot on the Waialae Nui Boundary, at a stone marked with a cross: Diamond Head Trig. Station bears from this point N. 81° 43′ W., true, and Maumae Trig. Station bears N. 9° 16′ W., true; and running by true bearings as follows:

  1. —N. 10° 19′ E. 2,174.0 feet along Waialae Nui;
  2. —N. 57° 00′ W. 4,815.0 feet;
  3. —S. 84° 39′ W. 1,545.0 feet along Lot 33;
