Under authority vested in me by law it is ordered:
- On and after July 1, 1907, the purchase of materials and supplies for the Isthmian Canal Commission shall be transferred to the supervision of the Chief of Engineers of the Army, who shall maintain a Purchasing Department in the offices of the Isthmian Canal Commission in Washington.
- Officers of the United States shall draw no additional compensation for services rendered in connection with the Purchasing Department of the Isthmian Canal Commission.
