Summary

Description Woodcut illustration from De re metallica by Georgius Agricola. This is a 300dpi scan from the 1950 Dover edition of the 1913 Hoover translation of the 1556 reference. The Dover edition has slightly smaller size prints than the Hoover (which is a rare book). The woodcuts were recreated for the 1913 printing. Filenames (except for the title page) indicate the chapter (2, 3, 5, etc.) followed by the sequential number of the illustration.
Date
Source The scan was done by Mining Heritage (http://www.mining-heritage.com/). A CD was purchased from them for low cost. Although the images are far out of copyright, they also approved the uploading of these images in bulk.
