Summary

As of 2011, the author (photographer) of this picture almost certainly died more than 70 years ago (assuming he was older than 19 at the time it was taken); however since the author is unknown, we will go with the USA pre-1923 license. But by 2015 or so, the license can unambiguously change to the more inclusive "author died more than 70 years ago".
