Here is my question. The images in this book are clear black and white but yet it is shown that the Source of this book is Internet Archives: http://www.archive.org/details/trampabroad00twai

and those images have a somewhat sepia tone on all images.

So, how is it that these images are not like those in the book at Internet Archives: http://www.archive.org/details/trampabroad00twai I ask because I have a lot of images like these former sepia tone images that will have to be made into black and white as was done for this WS book -- or did the images really come from elsewhere? Using Imagemagik and converting to "-colorspace Gray". The difficult part is to find the right threshold to define what is "white". The fine tuning, when needed, is trial-and-error.--Mpaa (talk) 17:21, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

Mpaa, it certainly is a perfect job on discolored images. I have images to do on very old ships and I am not familiar with the program you used. I must get that program, learn it, and give it a try.
