Jewish Encyclopedia
The Jewish Encyclopedia, published between 1901 and 1905, brought together some of the greatest Jewish scholars to produce a twelve-volume work with fifteen thousand articles and images. It is an invaluable source for Jewish and other topics, with in-depth accounts of contemporary Jewish scholarship and surveys of long-established Jewish communities around the world in the generation preceding the World War I, the Holocaust, and the establishment of the State of Israel. In it one can also find fascinating trivia, including articles about "Ants in the Bible," etc.
