Broadley, Alexander Meyrick, avocat défenseur at the French bar 1883, advocate of consular court Tunis, North Africa, 1872, senior counsel for Arabi Pacha at the court martial held at Cairo Dec., 1882, special correspondent of the Times 1880–2, author of Tunis Past and Present, A History of Freemasonry in Malta, and of How we Defended Arabi, a student of Lincoln's Inn 16 Nov., 1866 (then aged 19), called to the bar 7 June, 1869 (elder son of Rev. Alexander Broadley, vicar of Bradpole, Dorset, canon of Sarum); born 19 July, 1847.
