Clay, Charles John, B.A., Univ. Coll. Oxon, 1851, J.P. Staffordshire, a student of the Inner Temple 13 Nov., 1851 (then aged 23), called to the bar 30 April, 1855 (youngest son of Henry Clay, Esq., late of Piercefield Park, co. Mon., dec.); born 3 Aug., 1828; married 1st, 6 July, 1869, Agnes Lucy, dau. of Rev. Thomas Arden; she died 17 Sept., 1874; he married 2ndly, 6 Sept., 1883, Elizabeth Teasdale, dau. of Mark Smith, Esq., and has issue.
