Hewitt, Henry Marmaduke, M.A., LL.M., St. John's Coll., Camb., 1869, 1st class classical tripos 1866, 1st class moral science tripos 1866, theological honours 1867, qualified for gold medal in classics, M.A. London Univ 1869 and a member of Convocation, assistant classical examiner London Univ. 1877–82, a student of Gray's Inn 5 Nov., 1875, went to the Inner Temple 11 Oct., 1876 (then aged 34), where he was called to the bar 3 July, 1878 (eldest son of Cornelius Hewitt, of Kingston-upon-Hull, gentleman); born 18 July, 1842; married 19 July, 1884, Agnes Helen, only surviving child of late George Liddon, Esq., of Clifton, Bristol.
