Lawrence, Lord (John Hamilton Lawrence), B.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1870, J.P. Middlesex and Westminster, capt. Herts yeomanry cavalry 1880–3, a student of Lincoln's Inn 21 Jan., 1870 (then aged 23), called to the bar 18 Nov., 1872 (eldest son of John Laird Mair, Baron Lawrence, G.C.B., G.C.S.I., P.C.); born 1 Oct., 1846; married 22 Aug., 1872, Mary Caroline Douglas, only child of late Richard Campbell, Esq., of Auchinbreck and Glencarradle, Argyllshire, and has issue (see Foster's Peerage).
