Pike, Luke Owen, M.A. (scholar), Brasenose Coll., Oxon, 1861, legal inspecting officer (under the Public Record Office Act 1877) since July, 1882, entered record office 1862, author of A History of Crime in England, editor of the Year Books published by order of the treasury, a student of Lincoln's Inn 24 March, 1856 (then aged 20), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1864 (only son of Luke Pike, Esq., of London); born 12 Aug., 1835; unmarried.
