- נותנין פאה מתחלת השדה ומאמצעה.
- רבי שמעון אומר:
- ובלבד שיתן בסוף כשיעור.
- רבי יהודה אומר:
- אם שייר קלח אחד – סומך משום פאה,
- ואם לאו – אינו נותן אלא משום הפקר.
English Translation [edit]

- Leave the Peah from the beginning [of the harvest] of the field or in the middle [of the harvest].
- Rabbi Shimon says:
- Only give out of the final measure.
- Rabbi Yehudah says:
- If he has left even one stalk, he must give Peah.
- And if otherwise, he is giving away his crop to the public.
Explanation [edit]
Final measure: i.e. after the full yield of the field has been measured.
