THE IMPERIAL BIBLE-DICTIONARY,

HISTOEICAL, BIOGKAPHICAL, GEOGRAPHICAL, AND DOCTBINAL.

EDITED BY REV. PATRICK FAIRBAIRN, D.D,

Author of "Typology of Scripture," &o. &c.

Illustrated by many Hundred Engravings on Wood and Steel.

The Editor is responsible for whatever may be said to bear on the professed scope and distinctive principles of the work. It will be his care that nothing shall appear at variance with the inspiration of Scripture, inconsistent with its doctrines, or defective and erroneous in mode of treatment. Within these limits, however, each writer is responsible for his own articles ; and thus individuality of thought and expression is secured, and a measured and mechanical uniformity avoided.

Bp: To be completed in about 30 parts, royal 4to, 2s. each; also in divisions, 6*. each.

AN EXPOSITION OF ALL THE BOOKS OF THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENT, with Practical Remarks and Observations. By MATTHEW HENET.

This Edition will present a complete and accurate reprint of Henry's admirable work; characterized by elegance and clearness of typography, accuracy of text, compactness of form, and moderateness of price. Considerable obscurity having hitherto been occasioned by defective typographical marking of the divisions and sub-divisions, and by loose and inaccurate punctuation, great care has been taken to rectify these defects, and thereby render the Author's method of arrangement and general meaning more perspicuous. The exposition being the part chiefly read, and the text being mainly for reference, the former is printed in a good readable type, and the latter in smaller type, but still sufficiently clear and distinct.

The Work will be comprised in three handsome volumes, royal 4to, accompanied by a finely engraved Portrait of the Author. Vol. I. is ready, price 20*.
