No threats of disunion! This unanimity was a fitting sequel to the recent presidential election. Monroe had been elected without opposition. Even those who had so long and so vehemently opposed and obstructed the policy of expansion, now united with the general voice in applauding the twenty years of public administration which has never been surpassed for wisdom, virtue and patriotism.
