1691 John Mooki . S.T.P., was nominated 25th April, and 3W.&M, elected to the bishopric of Norwich in the room of William Lloyd 21st May, and consecrated 5th July 169c 1 ". He was translated to Ely 31st duly 1707. 1708 Charles Trimnell, S.T.P., archdeacon of Norfolk, 6 Ann. preh ndary of Norwich, and rector of St. James's, Lon- don, was elected bishop of Norwich 23rd Jan. 1707-8, and consecrated 8th Feb., the temporalities were re- stored to him on the 15th of the Bame month. He

was translated to Winchester in 1721.

1721 Thomas Green, archdeacon of Canterbury, and master 8 Geo. I. of Corpus ChrisH College, Cambridge, was nominated

19th Aug. 1721, and consecrated 8th Oct. 1721, on the promotion of Charles Trimnell to Winchester. Ho was translated to Ely in .Sept. 1723.

1723 John Leng, S.T.P., was nominated 27th Aug. 1723, 10 Geo. I. and consecrated 3rd Nov. 1 723 4 . Ho died of the smallpox 26th Oct. 1727, and was buried in the church of St. Margaret, Westminster.

1727 William Baker, bishop of Bangor, was nominated to

Geo. II. Norwich 2nd Nov. 1727, and confirmed 19th Dec. fol- lowing. He died at Bath 4th Dec. 1723, aetat. 64, and was there buried.

1733 Robert Butt-, dean of Norwich, was nominated 17th 6 Geo. II. Jan. 1732-3, ami consecrated bishop of this see 25th Feb. following 41 ; translated to Ely in May 1738.

1738 Thomas Gooch, bisJiop of Bristol, was nominated to raGeo. II. tho see of Norwich 29th Aug. 1738, and the royal assent to his election was given 2nd Sept. ; he was confirmed 17th Oct., and the temporalities were deli- vered to him on the 1 9th of the same month. He was translated to Ely in 17478.
