He was translated to Ely in 1628 ls . A conge* dYlire, vice bishop Bueke- ridge, issued 1 8th July [628 19 ; in pursuance of which, 1628 Walteb CYrt.k, S.T.P., dean of Lichfield, was elected Car. l. 22nd July 1628, ami received the royal assent 2nd Aug.'- ; he was confirmed 5th Sept., and consecrated two days afterwards- 1 ; the temporalities were restored to him on the 25th of that month 33 , and in 1629 he was translated to Bath and Wells 33 . The conge d'elire, on the translation of bishop Curie, issued 8th Dec. 1629-'. 1630 John Bowle, dean of Salisbury, was elected to this see 5 Car. I. ^th Dec. 1629, received the royal assent 8th Jan. 1629 30- 5 , was confirmed 6th Feb. 1629-30, and con- secrated the next day at Lambeth- 6 ; the temporali- ties were restored to him on the 17th of the same month-". He died 9th Oct. 1637, and was buried in
