Saturday, 22. a.m.—The morn very damp, but not much rain. I took a walk with my gun. At 4 p.m. Mr. Harris Mr. Janson dind with me. The aft. was so wet that we went to Mr. Harris's house. C.S., Barkley.

Sunday, 23. a.m.—The morn damp. Divine service could not be performd. At 5 p.m. a strong breeze came on. C.S., White Hall.

Monday, 24. a.m.—The morn very wet. This eve being Xmas I went and took a pipe with Mr. Groves. C.S., Buckingham.

Tuesday, 25. a.m.—This day being Xmas day, at past 11 all the civil military and free people, with His Honor the Lt. Governor, attended divine service. I was to have dind with the Gov., but was a long time before engaged to dine with a party at Mr. Bowdens. At 5 Mr. Harris, Fosbrook, Janson and self dind at Mr. Bowdens. C.S., Henley.

Wednesday, 26. a.m.—The wr. very cold at intervals. At 12 the same party met at Mr. Bowdens and took a second breakfast, and the same party dind with Mr. Bowden. C.S., Borough.

Thursday, 27. a.m.—Eemained at home all this morn uj)on business. At 4 p.m. Mr. Harris and Mr. Fosbrook dind with me. C.S., King's Bench.

Friday, 28.—a.m.—Upon business all this morn with Mr. Harris. At 4 p.m. the Govns. son dind with me, and in the eve I went and took a pipe with Mr. Fosbrook. C.S., Market.

Saturday, 29. a.m.—At 11 my man returned home with 2 very large emews. At 4 p.m. thunder with rain. C.S., Clare.


Kangaroo killed by my dogs since August 24, 1804, which day I received 1 dog from Lt. Houston and on the 29 Capt. gave me another dog:—
