This section of the work contains notices of celebrities of Australasia who have died since the opening of the Twentieth Century. My original design included a comprehensive record of the Notable Dead of Australia and New Zealand from the earliest times. I hope to be able to complete this in the form of a Dictionary of National Biography in future editions. For this purpose I shall welcome the receipt of suggestions and data from descendants of our distinguished dead. The dates in brackets represent the years of birth and death.
