မျှမရ, or briefly ဘာ​မှ​မရ, (he) obtains nothing at all; ရောက်​သည်​ကို​မျှ​မ​သိ, (he) knows not even of the arrival; sometimes expletive, as ရုန်း​ရင်း​ခတ်​မျှ​ပြု​သည်, to make a disturbance.

လည်း, also; sometimes used familiarly for the continuative affix လျှင်.

လည်း​ကောင်း, both—and, placed after other affixes, and repeated at the close of successive clauses, as ငကို​၎င်​သေား​ကို​၎င်​မြင်​သည်, he sees both me and my son; in modern style, equivavalent to the pronominal adjective လို, that, as ၎င်​နေ့ that day, ၎င်​နည်း, in the same manner.

လျှင်, distributive, as တလ​လျှင်​တ​တင်း, a basket a month; sometimes definitive or emphatic.

သော်၎င်, either—or, placed after other affixes, and repeated at the close of successive clauses, as ရွှေ​နှင့်​သော်​၎င်​ငွေ​နှင့်​သော်​၎င်, either with gold or with silver.

သာ, only.

9. Verbal affixes are used adverbially, when placed after an adverbial or noun affix. The same is true of noun affixes, when placed after a verbal or adverbial affix (see under Nouns, §61).



INTERJECTIONS.

§127. A few of the most common are as follows:—

အစာ, အစာစာ, fie!

အည်း, eh! expressive of pain.

အမယ်, အမယ်​လေး, အမယ်​ကြီး​လေး, mother! denoting surprise or distress.

အလယ်, အလယ်​လေး oh! expressive of pain.

အလို, အလို​လေး, oh! expressive of pain.

အိမ်း, pronounced eh, yes! expressive of assent.

အေ, don't, disapprobatory—prohibitive.

အေ့ဟေ, aa haa! aha! contemptuous.
