Drawing a long volume of smoke from his cigar, just as the Bengalees do from their hookahs, he swallowed it. Then taking the cigar out of his mouth, he turned to the person with whom he was conversing at the time, and, after retaining the smoke fully a minute, exhaled it in occasional puffs from his nose and mouth.
