are three in number; their office is to return

the blood from the head.

the body. KIDNEYS. The organs secreting urine.


LARYNX. The upper part of the windpipe; the organ

of voice.

LASCIVIOUS. Lewd, lustful. LASSITUDE. Weakness, exhaustion. LESION. Structural tissue change from injury or

disease.

LEUCORRHEA. A whitish discharge from the vagina. LIGAMENT. A band of fibrous tissue binding parts

together.
