Yates, Frederick, 1810-11, b. 1794. Actor. The friend, pupil and partner of Charles Matthews, with whom he was co-proprietor of the Adelphi Theatre; died 1842.

Yates, Henry Thomas, 1827. Son of Joseph Yates, of Peel Hall, Lancashire, b. 1813. Royal Navy. Afterwards in E. India Company's Service. Drowned at Whampoa.

Yates, Joseph St. John, 1824-27. Eldest brother of the above, b. 1808. Gold Medal. Ch. Ch. Oxf. Barrister, Judge of County Courts.

Yorke, Henry Galgacus, 1811. Left the same year. Went to Eton. Ch. Coll. Cam. M.P. for York 1841-8; died 1848.
