A correspondent has pointed out that the second stanza of this hymn closely resembles a stanza in one of Charles Wesley s " Family Hymns," as follows : " Jesus to us impart

Thy resurrection s power, And teach our quickened heart

Its living Lord to adore. To vie with the redeemed above, Rejoicing in thy pardoning love."

" O Christ, our hope, our heart s desire." No. 404.

This rendering of the ancient " Jesu, nostra Redemptio," is by the Rev. John Chandler, M.A., 1837.
