And, when the silent bottom swells With feelings, that we cannot speak, By murmuring brooks;in moonlight dells, Oh, then it trembles on the.cheek! It is the sacred tear, that flows, Devotion's humble tribute given, When. every passion finds repose, And every thought is lost in heaven. AN EVENING THOUGHT.
