PRESENTATION OF THE HEART OF THE YEAR AWARD SCENARIO CON'T

The Heart of the Year Award to be presented by you is an annual award to the distinguished American who, despite a history of cardio­vascular disease has continued to make important contributions to society. It is recommended that you read the following inscription from the plaque:


"Through his faith, courage, and achievement in meeting the personal challenge of heart disease, Dr. Irving H. Page has set a magnificent example and inspired people everywhere with hope and with the determination to con­quer our nation's leading health enemy."


Dr. Irving H. Page, who headed the National Diet-Heart Study, is one of the world's leading research scientists. He is currently Director Emeritus of Research for the Cleveland(Ohio) Clinic Foundation.


You will make brief concluding remarks following which you and Mrs. Nixon will be escorted back to your office.


NOTE:
Mrs. Page, Mrs. White, Mrs. Laporte and supporting personnel of the American Heart Association will be in attendance.
