PRESIDENT'S SCENARIO:

At 3:00 p. m., you will be escorted from your office to your chair in the Cabinet Room where you will meet the participants of the February 1969 TIME News Tour of the Far East and repre­sentatives of TIME, INC.

A list of the attendees will be found attached.

James R. Shepley, Publisher of TIME will act as spokesman for the group in reporting on visits with top businessmen and government officials in Manila, Saigon, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Djakarta, Seoul and Japan.

Similar TIME sponsored trips took place in 1963 (Western Europe and Russia), 1965 (Southeast Asia), and 1966 (Eastern Europe).

It is estimated that your participation will last 30--45 minutes at the conclusion of which you will be escorted back to your office.
