With the exception of (1900) 22,138 Finns, 6,983 Lapps, and some thousands others, the Swedish population is entirely of the Scandinavian branch of the Aryan family.

In 1900 the foreign-born population numbered 35,627, of whom 5 107 r/n^ °V ^^^^,*ny' 6' 874 in Denmark, 7,978 in Norway, 6,644 in Finknd, 1,506 in Russia, 779 in the United Kingdom, and 5,130 in the United States.
