Deor, Raja of; (Raghoji Rao); b. 1872; claims descent from the “Solar Race” of the Maharanas of Udaipur; this family played a very important part in the history of the Mahrattas almost from the time of Sivaji down to the time of the decline of Mahratta power; title of Raja, hereditary; represents the line of the old Bhonsle family of Mahrattas.
