Title 3--The President Presidential Determination No. 2000-23 of June 2, 2000 Determination Under Subsection 402(d)(1) of the Trade Act of 1974, as Amended: Continuation of Waiver Authority for the People's Republic of China Memorandum for the Secmtazy of State Pursuant to the authority vested in me under the Trade Act of 1974, as amended, Pubhc Law 93-618, 88 Star. 1978 (the "Act"), I have determined, pursuant to section 402(d)(1) of the Act, 19 U.S.C. 2432(d)(1), that the fur- thor extension of the waiver authority granted by section 402(c) of the Act will substantially promote the objectives of section 402 of the Act. I further determine that continuation of the waiver applicable to the People's Repub- lic of China will substantially promote the objectives of section 402 of the Act. You are authorized and directed to publish this determination in the Federal Register. WILLIAM J. CLINTON THE WHITE HOUSE, Washington, June 2, 2000. Presidential Determination No. 2000-24 of June 16, 2000 Suspension of Limitations Under the ]erusalem Embassy Act Memorandum for the Secretary of State Pursuant to the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 7(a) of the }erusalem Em- bassy Act of 1995 (Public Law 104-45) (the "Act"), I hereby determine that it is necessary to protect the national security interests of the United States to suspend for a period of 6 months the limitations set forth in sections 3(b) and 7(b) of the Act. You are hereby authorized and directed to transmit this determination to the Congress, accompanied by a report in accordance with section 7(a) of the Act, and to publish the determination in the Federal Register.
