Bc it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the following sums of Appropriation money be, and the same are hereby appropriated, for the construction of gm . {hm? military roads in the Territory of Oregon, to wit: for the construction m mgm` of a road from Stilacoomb, on Puget’s Sound to Fort Walla-Walla, twenty thousand dollars; and for the construction of a road from the mouth of Myrtle Creek, on the Umpqua River, to Camp Stuart, in Rogue River Valley, twenty thousand dollars ; the said roads to be constructed under aheldirection of the Secretary of War, pursuant to contracts to be made y im.
