tion 303 (29 U.S.C. 1083) is amended by inserting after subsection (d) the following new subsection: "(e)(1) The Secretary of the Treasury shall, before g r a n t i n g a waiver under this section, r e q u i r e each applicant to provide evidence satisfactory to such Secretary that the applicant has provided notice of the filing of the application for such waiver to each employee organization r e p r e s e n t i n g employees covered by the affected plan. "(2) The Secretary of the Treasury shall consider any r e l e v a n t information provided by a person to w h o m notice w a s given under paragraph (1).". (3) N O T I C E O F REQUEST FOR EXTENSIONS O F AMORTIZATION PERIOD A N D RIGHT TO SUBMIT RELEVANT INFORMATION.—Section

304 (29 U.S.C. 1084) is amended by adding a t the end thereof the following n e w subsection: "(c)(1) The Secretary of the Treasury shall, before g r a n t i n g a n extension under t h i s section, r e q u i r e each applicant to provide evidence satisfactory to such Secretary that the applicant has provided notice of the filing of the application for such extension to each employee organization r e p r e s e n t i n g employees covered by the affected plan. "(2) The Secretary of the Treasury shall consider any r e l e v a n t information provided by a person to whom notice w a s given under paragraph (1).". (4) AMENDMENT TO THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE O F 1954.—

Subsection (f) of section 412 of the I n t e r n a l Revenue Code of 1954 (relating to benefits may not be increased during waiver or 26 USC 412. extension period), a s amended by the preceding provisions of this title, is f u r the r amended by adding a t the e n d thereof the following new paragraph: "(4) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS.—
