(c) Each department, agency, and instrumentality of the executive branch of the Federal Government, including independent agencies, shall furnish to the Commission, upon request made by the Chairman, such information as the Commission considers necessary to carry out its functions. (d) Upon request of the Commission, the head of any Federal agency may detail, on a reimbursable basis, any of the personnel of such agency to the Commission to assist the Commission in carrying out its duties. (e) The Administrator of General Services shall provide to the Commission on a reimbursable basis such administrative support services as the Commission may request. (f) The Commission may use the United States mail in the same manner and under the same conditions as departments and agencies of the United States. (g) Any member or agent of the Commission may, if so authorized by the Commission, take any action which the Commission may take under this section. COMPENSATION OF MEMBERS
SEC. 505. Members of the Commission shall serve without compensation, but shall be reimbursed for travel or transportation expenses under subchapter I of chapter 57 of title 5, United States Code, while away from their homes or regular places of business and engaged in the actual performance of duties of the Commission. AUTHORIZATION
SEC. 506. There is hereby authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary in fiscal years 1987 and 1988 to carry out the provisions of this Act. APPROPRIATIONS
SEC. 507. There is hereby appropriated for fiscal year 1987, $2,000,000 to carry out the provisions of this Act, to remain available until expended. TITLE VI—METROPOLITAN WASHINGTON AIRPORTS SEC. 6001. SHORT TITLE.
This title may be cited as the "Metropolitan Washington Airports Act of 1986". SEC. 6002. FINDINGS.
The Congress finds that— (1) the two federally owned airports in the metropolitan area of Washington, District of Columbia, constitute an important and growing part of the commerce, transportation, and economic patterns of the Commonwealth of Virginia, the District of Columbia, and the surrounding region; (2) Baltimore/Washington International Airport, owned and operated by the State of Maryland, is an air transportation facility that provides service to the greater Metropolitan Washington region together with the two federally owned airports, and timely Federal-aid grants to Baltimore/Washington International Airport will provide additional capacity to meet
