(2) to transfer certain lands, and to compensate the Association for the loss of certain contract u a l surface rights and interests; and (3) to provide for rehabilitation of certain of those lands to be administered by the Forest Service for public benefit. (b) DEFINITIONS.—For the purposes of t h i s section— (1) the term "Association" means the S t r a w b e r r y W a t e r Users Association, (2) the term " Secretary " means the Secretary of the Interior, and (3) the term "Project L and s " means approximately 56,870 acres of S t r a w b e r r y Valley Project Lands and includes 95 acres to be transferred to the Association, 25,990 acres of recreation lands associated with the Bonneville U n i t of the Central U t a h Project, and 30,785 acres of r e m a i n i n g S t r a w b e r r y Valley Project Lands. (c) BOUNDARY MODIFICATION OF U I N T A N A T I O N A L FOR E S T. —

(1) The exterior b o u n d a r y of the U i n t a National Forest shall be modified to include 56,775 acres of the original 56,870 acres of S t r a w b e r r y Valley Project lands as generally depicted on a m a p entitled " B o u n d a r y Modification, U i n t a National Forest", and dated May 1988. The effective date of such modification shall be the date upon which administrative jurisdiction is transferred to the Secretary of Agriculture in accordance with subsection (e)(1)(B). Those lands encompassed by the modified b o u n d a r y include 25,990 acres of recreation lands associated with the Bonneville U n i t of the C e n t r a l U t a h Project and 30,785 acres of r e m a i n i n g Project Lands. Such lands shall be administered by the Forest Service in accordance with applicable laws except that the 25,990 acres shall continue to be m a n a g e d by the Forest Service as recreation lands in accordance with the purposes set forth in the M e m o r and u m of A g r e e m e n t between the Department of the Interior, B u r e a u of Reclamation, U p p e r Colorado Region, and the United States Forest Service (Contract No. 2-07-40-L3016) dated February 2, 1982. (2) A m a p depicting the modified b o u n d a r y of the U i n t a National Forest shall be on file and available for public inspection in the office of the Chief of the Forest Service and approp r i a t e field offices and the House Interior and I n s u l a r Affairs Committee and the S e n a t e Energy and N a t u r a l Resources Committee. (d) V A L I D E X I S T I N G R I G H T S. —

(1) Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, the administration by the Forest Service of the lands described in subsection (c) shall not— (A) affect or interfere with the authority of the B u r e a u of Reclamation to construct, operate, m a i n t a i n, replace, or improve, as necessary, project facilities and access thereto associated w i t h the S t r a w b e r r y Valley Reclamation Project and Bonneville U n i t of the Central U t a h Project; or (B) diminish any other authorized uses of the lands for w a t e r resource and power development under Federal law. (2) The association shall relinquish all of its contractual surface rights and interests, including sand and gravel, in the 56,775 acres of the Project Lands in accordance with subsection (e)(2).
