PUBLIC LAW 101-180—NOV. 28, 1989 103 STAT. 1325 Public Law 101-180 101st Congress An Act To extend the United States Commission on Civil Rights. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SKCTION I. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the "Civil Rights Commission Reauthor- ization Act of 1989". SKC. 2. RKAUTIIORIZATION. The United States Commission on Civil Rights Act of 1983 (42 U.S.C. 1975 et seq.) is amended— (1) in section 7 (42 U.S.C. 1975e), by striking "1989" and inserting "1991"; and (2) in section 8 (42 U.S.C. 1975D, by striking "six years after its date of enactment" and inserting "on September 30, 1991".
